The Galileo Seven
Hey there Murasaki three one two
The Galileo’s pulled off course by you
This whole sector has been ionized
Searching systems useless, scanners blind
Enterprise I know you are trying now
Two days is all you have to get them out
Hey there Makus Three you’re troubled too
Are seven lives expendable for you?
A plague is spreading in New Paris now
The medicine must get to them somehow
And the shuttlecraft crash-lands on a rock
And seven lives are left to Mr. Spock
I can see the mess, the tension, and the foreshadow of death
But I believe in you Spock, I know
You will get them off of this rock and go
Your first command’s the heaviest to hold
Hey there Ferris I know you wont budge
But Kirk stands firm, he’s not giving up
Planetside natives start to aggress
Latimer and Gaetano face their death
And it seems the ship may just not get fixed
Spock says there are always alternatives
I guess I can see the crews frustration and their lack of faith
But I believe in you Spock, I know
You will get them off of this rock and go
Your first command’s the heaviest to hold
Hey there Boma, you got a lot to say
In antagonistic, disrespectful ways
Recognize your rank, follow orders, think
Most of the time your emotions make you weak
Even Bones and Scott put you in your place
as time and fuel run an equal race
I guess I can see how they cite desperation and critique
But I agree with you Spock, and so
It was nothing more than logic, I know
The first command was heaviest to hold

The Squire of Gothos
The Squire, The Squire of Gothos
His name is Trelane, General, retired, hip-hip-hooray.
The Squire, The Squire of Gothos
He took Kirk and Sulu to live on his planet, to stay
Bones, Yager, and DeSalle beam down to find them
They do, but they also find that there is no escape
Trelane has created a world, more like a prison
A Salt Vampire statue stands in his entryway
The Squire, The Squire of Gothos
He went to the ship, and cried, “Rot!” and stole more of the crew
The Squire, The Squire of Gothos
He’ll dance with the Yeoman and anything he wants to do
His food and his drink, they have little substance
About their true nature, Trelane seems to have not a clue
He seems most defeated when Kirk tries to destroy his power
“You’ve ruined everything,” Trelane screams. “It’s because of you!”
Now Kirk is on trial
For treason, he’s the accused
To kill him in a hunt is proposed
With a power that’s been abused
For a fight to the death,
Kirk’s cunning he must use,
and though he winds up in a cage,
To bow to Trelane,
He refused
The Squire, The Squire of Gothos
Entities appear in the sky
The Squire, The Squire of Gothos
A petulant child, he begins to cry.
I would, I would, I would,
I would win.

Arena
One day while investigating Sestus 3
An alien superpower kidnapped me
And put me face to face with a dangerous enemy
How the hell did I get myself into this mess?
They say we have to fight to the death
So I defend my life with every breath
If bones were in my shoes he’d know what to do
He’d probably hit him with a hypospray or two
And then tell him jokes until he was subdued
Mr Spock could take him out with one nerve pinch
Or mindmeld him into thinking that he’s our friend
Either way with Vulcan logic you know that it would be a cinch
Well I put both hands together and swing like I’m holding a bat
Then I duck when he swings at me and karate chop him in the back
I don’t know how I’ll win, but I’ll tell you what I’ll do
For the greater good of the Federation and in the name of the Enterprise crew
I’m gonna kick his ass
Kick his ass
If only Mr. Sulu were standing here
He’d samurai slice him without any fear
And where is Charlie Evans when you need someone to disappear?
With a sultry look Uhura would lure him in
To a place where he has no room to defend
Then he’d get a beat-down by Nurse Chapel and Janice Rand
Well I pick up a rock and I throw it at his chest
It bounces off like Styrofoam
He throws a boulder at my head
I’ll figure out how to win
That’s all I know how to do
For the greater good of the Federation
And in the name of the Enterprise crew
I’m gonna kick his ass
Kick his ass
Scotty would challenge him to a duel
Where scotch and brandy were fighting tools
Or maybe he’d just beam him inside of some solid rock
Well I put my mind to it and I figured the weapon out
And just in the nick of time I became the victor in the bout
You knew that I would win because I always do
I’m James Tiberious Kirk, captain of the Enterprise crew
And I kicked his ass
Kicked his ass

Tomorrow is Yesterday
Captain John Christopher, U.S. Airforce
Serial 4857932, Blue Jay 4
Command saw a radar blip, possible U.F.O.
I was dispatched by plane to get a visal
Soaring through the clouds, I was approaching from below
I glimpsed what appeared a spacecraft, seconds later
I was aboard the U.F.O….
Uh oh
Little green men from Alpha Centauri
Or Earthmen from the distant future
Propelled through time accidentally
Two hundred years back to the late sixies
They cannot risk changing what must be
The slingshot effect could reverse time, theoretically
But that would mean today would be erased
And tomorrow is yesterday
Matter transporters, alien invaders
Instant chicken soup, female computers
I wanted to join the space program
But I will have a son, and he will go to Saturn
They cannot risk changing what must be
The slingshot effect could reverse time, theoretically
But that would mean today would be erased, it never happened
And tomorrow is yesterday

Court Martial
It all began when we were younger
We had become friends
Then came that day that I forgot that switch
That’s when the friendship ends
Busted down my career gone now
And I have you to blame
On board your ship, but you do not suspect
I wish your fate to be the same
And I will deceive you and sacrifice your name
To reveal what is true and contradict your claim
They’ll take from you what they took away from me
And you will be forgotten. This Court Martial will see.
Though it appeared the pod ejected
With me still inside
The Red Alert had not yet been reached,
And now it’s your fault that I died.
So I will wait for you. In madness, I will hide
This day of truth, I’ve been waiting for
No one will change this fate that comes your way,
And now it’s time to even the score
But what is this? They’re all aboard now,
Suspecting my plan
Betrayed by heart, Kirk will find me now,
So I’ll battle him man-to-man
And I will defeat you and sacrifice your name
To destroy what is true and make good for your blame
Your sanity won’t save you from the madness inside me,
And I will finally kill you. This court martial will see.

The Return of the Archons
Are you up from the Valley? Or a stranger from away?
Are you new to these parts, up here for the festival today?
Are you of the body? You know the Body is one.
Blessed be the body. It is the will of Landru done.
Sometimes I wonder now—what came before, but I forget somehow
You whisper strangely, and you know that’s not our way.
Joy be with you stranger and tranquility today.
Well, it’s almost six now, and the Red Hour is near
Have you got a place to sleep it off? It is the will of Landru here.
I used to be something– I shouldn’t think, I cannot think these things
But we mean you no harm
We’ve got peace in our hearts
And the good it must transcend
And the body is blessed and all parts in good health
And great joy to you my friends.
Landru is gentle- and you know the good is all
Gone are all the ancient evils by the givers of the law
Are you called the Archons? I think we were once like you
But now the unity of good- it keeps us true.
Wish I had a memory—wish I could remember anything
Old computer, ancient reckoner of lives,
Calculator, programming that’s gone awry,
Our creator, and we still believe it’s wise
Break the rules here, you will be absorbed in kind
Happens all the time, it’s no big surprise….but I’m here tonight
I’m up for the red hour- oh oh oh
I’m up for awhile
I’m up for the red hour baby, yeah
I’ll be up for awhile…
Now it’s Festival Time.

Space Seed
All aboard the Botany Bay
Eighty-Five people floating through space
Checking the computer reveals that they’re supermen
First there’s Khan. He almost died.
He may have fooled LT McGivers, but he’s not a nice guy
Kirk and Spock and Bones try to research where these people have been
It turns out that they are relics from the Eugenics Wars
Superior in every way
Two Hundred plus years on a sleeper ship
And now their Napoleonic leader is awake
He’s Khan Noonien Singh, Khan Noonien Singh, Khan Noonien Singh
He’ll take over
They dressed up to welcome their guests
Had a big dinner to disguise an inquest
Spock asked all the questions while Kirk sat back and listened in
He’d had enough. Khan proceeded as planned
Tried to take over the ship, every woman and man
Threatened for their loyalty, or else he’d do the captain in
But Kirk proved more formidable than Khan thought he’d be
When in engineering, a battle ensued
Khan said, “I have five times your strength. You’re no match for me.”
But after an epic battle, Kirk ended the feud.
With Kahn Noonien Singh, Khan Noonien Singh, Khan Noonien Singh
He’ll take over
Khan was marooned on Ceti Alpha V
It would be a challenge to keep he and his people alive
But when asked to serve in Heaven, he said he’d rather rule in Hell
It would be interesting, Captain, to return to this world in one hundred years,
And learn what crop has sprung from that seed that you planted today.”

A Taste of Armageddon
Five hundred year old war
Five hundred years of keeping score
It doesn’t make sense to me
Why do this willingly?
The wrong place at the wrong time
To go on living is a crime
You must accept that you’ve been killed
Your role has been fulfilled
Living casualty, you report to your death
you step into the booth
it doesn’t phase you
Millions every year
Taught to ignore fear
You’re killing every man
but the buildings, they still stand
Living casualty, you report to your death
you step into the booth
it doesn’t phase you
How can you be so cruel?
Why must you enforce this rule?
How can you watch them all leave so nonchalantly?
Living casualty, you report to your death
How can you just give in?
Can’t you see that no one wins?
That never will be me
A living casualty

This Side of Paradise
We set down on Omicron Ceti Three
I was infected by the spores, now I have been set free
Protected from the deadly Bertold Rays
In perfect health, there’s peace and love, we live in harmony
I just want to take it easy
And I’ll have the least possible responsibility
They say there’s no such thing as the
Happiness pill, I found it hanging from my tree
You want to scratch and claw each step along the path of life
From the Garden of Eden, mankind was once excised
So with you now I’m pleading, for once take my advice
Don’t stop this sunny feeling, just enjoy being high
On this side of paradise, paradise
Vulcan or country doctor, the spores don’t discriminate
You’ll have nothing left but love, so let go of your hate
March to your drums, stroll to your lute
But when you tire of it, come back, you can belong too
You’ll see the truth, life can be grand
The spores explode, a light comes on, you’ll understand
You want to scratch and claw each step along the path of life

Errand of Mercy
I’m a soldier, not a diplomat
Your culture’s been arrested in the past
For our help you only need to ask
You should stand up for yourselves
You speak of courage, but does courage mean so little to you?
You know war is our way of life
We are here now to occupy
If you don’t comply you will die
We require your obedience
You will follow our rules and regulations to the T
Sentimentality and mercy are emotions of peace
Organia just sits there smiling as the armies move in
What will it take to get them to stand up for what they believe in?
We are a peaceful simple race
Violence is simply not our way
Won’t you put your weapons away?
We don’t want harm to come to you
We will intervene when it becomes necessary
And it seems the time is now
Organia will not sit by and let you destroy yourselves
We’ll put an end to all of this war before it becomes hell
Millions will die before peace is achieved, this is the best way
So never forget what Organia has done for you this day

So never forget what Organia has done for you this day

The Alternative Factor
Lazarus I’ve been thinking…you’re always on my mind
Lazarus you’ve been looking…and I’ve been hard to find
Lazarus there’s solutions …. But you never commit
Lazarus you’ve been scheming….and I play hard to get
But I know that the time will come we’ll both hide-away, and you know that we’ll make it safe, to forever stay, it’s the only way, and all our days with each other
Lazarus it’s confusing, the passions of the heart
Lazarus you reject me, but you are my counterpart
Lazarus your obsessing, but you didn’t always have this fear
Lazarus you’ve been angry, but I really need you here
Under the flashing lights we will dance and fight and while we are so similar, the differences are minimal, but regrettable, it’s incredible
What’s the matter, anti-matter? Oh why does it matter? Why should it matter anywhere…but we can’t be out there…together
We got no time for conversation, we’re always in a rush
I don’t blame you for obsession, but you gotta know your killing us
We gotta hide ourselves from everyone, as a pair we are so dangerous
Ive overlooked all your transgressions, try to understand sweet lazarus
Sure enough, here you are now
Lazarus you’ve been screaming, they all think you’re mad
Lazarus you’re away now, but you always come back
To a place that was made for us, where two men can be
As close as they’ll ever be with our hands around each other’s sleeves, in a holding squeeze
Of our bodies

The City on the Edge of Forever
Edith Keeler, Edith Keeler,You know, I loved you so
For the language we spoke together,
Though you had to go
I stood by to protect the future
Still, beside me, I wanted you to stay
Edith Keeler, Edith Keeler,
Your thoughts, beyond your time
Interference to save a life, but
He said that you must die
Back in time to retrieve our doctor,
There I found a love, a love that has to end
In the City on the Edge of Forever
Removed from time and space, true; however,
I long to be in that city once again,
In the City on the Edge of Forever with you
Edith Keeler, Edith Keeler,
I saved you once before
But for the sake of what had to become,
I could do no more
You’d have understood if I could have told you
Now my heart breaks when I think of all we were
In the City on the Edge of Forever
Removed from time and space, true; however,
I long to be in that city once again,
In the City on the Edge of Forever with you
“What’s so funny about man reaching for the moon?” she said.

Operation: Annihilate!
Today was a day like any other
It started the same way as every other
Till a guy.. suicide.. oh why?
Heard a voice of a forlorn mother
Then the death of a good friend’s brother
We learn that they are controlled by fear
By an enemy who must adhere
Then I, by design, must subside
I don’t know why I’m forced to feel this awful way
Normally I wouldn’t feel a bit of pain
But there is something very different about today
We’re faced against something quite evil
Could be the death of a million people
Then I, though it’s not right, I try to fight
I don’t know why you won’t just put your trust in me
I’ve proven time and again that my logic is worthy
But there is something very different about me
They hold me down until I can get a grip
This is all like some sort of bad trip
Then I try to hide the pain inside
I am a Vulcan
I am a Vulcan
There is no pain
I can forgive you for reacting in this way
I’d probably have done the same if in your place
And now we know what must be done to save the day
We have to hurry because we’re running out of time
I’ll make the sacrifice and save all humankind
And by the way, I have become quite blind

Amok Time
An ancient drive of hidden size, it calls across the stars
I feel the change, I feel the flame, you know this is Pon Far.
I hurry now through space, a deadly invitation late
A burden that I carry now and logic stripped away
I thought that I might be immune, but instead I am consumed
A time of wanting and of madness and of seething all ….just to get to
Chorus:
You, pre-destined and both linked as two
I’ll be there soon, with my civility cut and hewn
I sink into the plak-tow, will I suffer you?
I’ve carried it, a burden to myself and all my crew
It’s forbidden here to speak of it, and harder to construe
Take me now, I lose myself, I’m locked here in my room
My heart is fire, my eyes they burn, I cannot be subdued
This blood fever it called me home, the koon-ut-kal-fee has hold
This ancient claim its single goal, biology controls then disa-
Vows. We stand, a body lies on the ground.
Woke from plak-tow, my captain and my friend somehow.
A certain vow: I won’t live long or prosper now.
As time goes by, you might find
That having never satisfies like the wanting in your mind
It’s not logical I know, but it’s true and now I go
To live with what I’ve sacrificed
Amok time

Who Mourns for Adonais
Giant hand in the sky grasps the Enterprise
From Pollux Four flies pure energy
Giant hand in the sky could crush the Enterprise
He addresses the crew pretentiously
Has mankind progressed, forgotten those things which gave life meaning?
There’s an order to things in the universe, and your time has passed
The god Apollo appears, lightning bolts in his hands
Welcoming mankind home to Mount Oylmpus
Light the anticent fires, gather laurel leaves
Or reap the rewards of your insolence
Has mankind progressed, forgotten those things which gave life meaning?
There’s an order to things in the universe, and your time has passed
There’s no time for gods, there’s no time for gods,
There’s no time for gods, who will mourn for thee, Adonais?
Once taken for gods five thousand years ago
When far-advanced space travelers landed on Earth
Tribesmen, simple shepherds, of our ancient Greece
Mistook these beings for gods and took to their knees
Has mankind progressed, forgotten those things which gave life meaning?
There’s an order to things in the universe, and your time has passed
There’s no time for gods, there’s no time for gods,
There’s no time for gods, who will mourn for thee, Adonais?
